A few bucks may not seem like much, but when Whitecaps FC fans come together to support mental health, the impact of a few dollars can go a long way.
From Monday, May 15 until Saturday, June 3, 2017, Whitecaps FC are encouraging all fans to #BuckUp for Mental Health. The goal is to raise $50,000 in support of Covenant House Vancouver.
All funds raised will go towards Covenant House's Mental Health program.
You can help by making a donation in support of #BuckUp for Mental Health online today or at the match on Saturday, June 3, bidding on an auction item or purchasing a raffle ticket for a chance to win a round-trip flight for 2 from WestJet.
Homeless, lost and afraid, more than 1,400 street-involved youth visit Covenant House Vancouver each year to find sanctuary and a brighter future. Vancouver's downtown streets are dangerous. Sexual exploitation, drug abuse, poverty and illness are commonplace. Many youth are re-victimized on the streets, having fled one unsafe situation only to find their circumstances are often worse. Exposed to the elements, lonely, afraid and without hope; this is the reality for our youth.
When: Saturday June 3, 2017
Where: BC Place Stadium
