I want to learn more about Youth Homelessness in Vancouver. Knowing an issue is one thing, understanding it is another. In our daily lives, we don't see homelessness, so it feels distant. This creates a gap between this community and us.

Throughout working on the Sleepout event, I gained context. About how 6% of the homeless population is youth, and how half of them lack shelter. These numbers change your view about the reality of the place and how close this issue actually is. So that is why I am dedicated to this event.
